Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s upcoming project Acharya was in news for the extended cameo in the film. There are reports that superstar mahesh babu has been approached for the role. Later, we are told that the makers have dropped the offer due to the huge remuneration demand. It is reported that ram charan is playing the role now.
Now during a recent interaction, chiranjeevi has opened up on this gossip. He revealed that “I wonder how Mahesh's name popped out in this. mahesh always respects me a lot, I like him too. He is like my son. But he was never considered for that role. koratala shiva wants charan for that role. But he is busy with RRR. We don’t know whether he can allocate dates for our film.”
He also stated that roping Ramcharan for the special role will purely depend on the understanding between rajamouli and koratala shiva as he is not sure if the former will relieve ram Charan. Acharya has Kajal Agarwal playing the female lead after the initial choice, trisha walked out of the project. mani sharma is composing music for the film.
