Superstar rajinikanth had last appeared on screen in the karthik Subbaraj directorial revenge thriller petta and then he joined hands with AR murugadoss directorial darbar which ended as a flop. Now, he works on his next project which is bankrolled by sun Pictures and had announced a pongal 2021 release.
Now, it is official that superstar Rajnikanth's 168th movie will be bankrolled by sun Pictures and Thalaivar168 which will be directed by Siva. The movie was titled as 'Annathe'. The shooting was stopped due to Corona Pandemic.
Now, tamil Nadu cm EPS has granted permission for shooting with 60 crew members and 'Annathe' team has planned to restart the shooting. The team is also doing post-production works on a parallel note.
