Cyber Crimes have become rampant in Hyderabad. Even VIPs are not spared by these fraudsters as revealed by this incident. Going into the details, a cyber fraudster has extorted Rs 63,000 from venky Kudumula, the director of Nithin's bheeshma which released last year. The director lodged a complaint at the hyderabad Cyber Crime Department on monday evening.
Two days ago, a man called the director and said that the film 'Bheeshma' directed by you has been nominated for an international film festival and awards. He also explained in which categories he was nominated for awards. The fraudster asked him to pay Rs 10,000 per each category nomination for processing fees and transferred Rs 63,000 to a bank account.
A few days after that, the director realized that he had been deceived. The guy on the other side has gone unreachable. Even though it is a small amount for him, venky did not remain silent and approached the police. On the other hand, venky is yet to announce his next project after Bheeshma. The two films director has 100% strike rate with both of his films emerging as hits at the box office.
