Shruti Haasan started working for her tamil movie titled 'Laabam' in 2019. The team also wrapped up the shooting in the same year itself. However, there were lots of post-production works. The movie also struggled to see the daylight due to the unxpected Corona pandemic. The director of the movie SP Jananathan took his last breath due to brain fever and the movie faced a pause in the post-production works. 


The movie has music composed by D.Imman and yesterday evening the team released the second single track 'Yaamili Yaamiliyaa'. The movie is funded by 7Cs Entertainment Pvt Ltd and vijay sethupathi Productions banner together as a joint venture. jagapathi babu essays the role of antagonist in this venture. This is the first time shruti haasan pairs with vijay Sethupathi. 


The multifaceted actress has now confirmed that her movie 'Laabam' will now release on Ramadan as a festival treat. Currently, she enjoys the lockdown by staying indoors along with her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika. The movie will release on OTT platform only after the theatrical release. It should be noted that, the government has allowed only 50% occcupancy in theaters due to the pandemic.
