Superstar rajinikanth had last appeared on screen in the karthik Subbaraj directorial revenge thriller petta and then he joined hands with AR murugadoss directorial darbar which ended as a flop. Now, he works on his next project 'Annaththe' which is bankrolled by sun Pictures, and the team had announced a diwali release. But now due to the Corona pandemic, the team has decided to push the release to diwali 2021.


We already reported that the shooting of Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe is going on in Hyderabad’s Ramojil Film City for the last few days. Nayanthara also joined the sets and she is also working for the movie. The team also got special permission from the hyderabad City police to shoot at night amid the night curfew. Keerthy suresh is part of the night schedule. 


Now, the latest update we hear from the team is that rajinikanth has wrapped up his portions in the long schedule among the night curfew and lockdown imposed in the city. Nayanthara was also part of this long schedule. The team stalled the shooting many times due to the COVID scare and also Rajinikanth's health issues. So the team completed the entire shooting of Rajini's portions initially and freed him first. The rest of the scenes will be completed in the coming days.
