Chiranjeevi and mohan babu debuted into movies almost around the same time. They also did many movies together. They maintain a healthy relationship even today. However, there was always a small communication gap between them. ‘Billa Ranga’ is a superhit movie starring these two heroes in the lead roles.

In those days giri babu wanted to direct these two heroes in a movie. He even got the script ready which falls in the line of adventurous stories like ‘The Five Men Army’ and ‘Great Escape’. He even narrated the story to both heroes who also gave green signal to act in it.
 
After the movie got finalized some sort of communication gap was developed between both chiru and Mohan Babu. Though both the heroes were given equal importance in the movie, the director has kept a duet song for chiru, while mohan babu doesn’t have any. This didn’t go down well with mohan babu who asked Girib abu to plan a song for him as well.

No matter how hard giri babu tried to convince mohan babu that the song won’t suit the script and for his role, he didn't hear and the movie was cancelled. Later the movie was made with suman and bhanu chander as heroes, which stood as a super hit. After watching the movie chiranjeevi and mohan babu were said to have felt bad that they have lost the movie just because of their small ego.
