Minnal Murali, the long-awaited malayalam superhero film, is slated to debut internationally on Netflix instead of in theatres. The film, which is made by Weekend Blockbusters as well as helmed by Basil Joseph, will star malayalam superstar tovino thomas portraying as the superhero ‘Minnal Murali,' and tells the storey of an average guy who gets struck by a lightning bolt & gains unique abilities. The film also stars Harisree Ashokan,  Guru Somasundaram, and aju varghese in pivotal roles. The movie will have dubs in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, and english upon its debut.


Netflix which has bagged the movie rights has now also announced the date of the release of the movie. The movie is set to hit on christmas eve this year. The film was originally scheduled to be released in late 2020, but it was repeatedly postponed owing to the epidemic. It will now be available on Netflix on the announced date.

This superhero film overcomes language barriers because it is, at its heart, a human narrative about feelings and situations. Minnal murali has made me very happy and proud stated Sophia Paul. Minnal Murali, Netflix's forthcoming malayalam feature, is only the beginning.
