After the tollywood flick Maestro, which debuted on Disney+  Hotstar on Sept. 10, Bhramam is the malayalam adaptation of andhadhun to hit theatres. Andhagan, the tamil remake, is now under post-production, it shall be released shortly. Andhadhun's themes of infidelity, deception, and betrayal appear to have piqued the interest of southern filmmakers. Maestro was a pretty uninteresting event that was further ruined by creative blunders. The film did not offer any worth to content that previously existed. However, based on the preview for Bhramam, director Ravi K. Chandran appears to have grasped the undertone of Andhadhun's grim humour and pushed down on it ruthlessly.

The malayalam adaptation appears to have a self-aware edge, with several pop-cultural allusions, which seems to make this criminal thriller entertaining. prithviraj portrays a blind musician in the adaptation, a role played by ayushmann khurrana in the source, whereas mamta mohandas, as well as Raashi Khanna, represent tabu & radhika Apte, accordingly. unni mukundan portrays a philandering officer, while jagadish Kumar portrays a rogue physician who collects human organs illegally. Bhramam will be featured for watching on amazon Prime Video in india on Oct 7, but it will also be released in theatres across the world.
