Samantha congratulated Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivn as their Koolangal movie has been selected as India's official entry for Oscars 2022.

Being so, samantha wished Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivn as their movie 'Koolangal' has been selected as India's official entry for Oscars. She took it to instagram to wish the couple for their production venture. She wrote “Big congratulations Vignesh Shivn and Nayan. This is such mad news. Congratulations to the entire team. More power to you ”.
Koozhangal also known as Pebbles internationally is an Indie film produced by Vignesh Shivn's Rowdy Pictures. It's said to be a family drama that explores the story of an alcoholic dad and his son who try to win back their wife / mom who had fled due to abuse. PS Vinoth raj has directed the movie while yuvan shankar raja has composed music for the film. Based on the reports, among the films submitted, Koozhangal was the unanimous choice for the 15-member selection committee.
