All big-budget Andhra movies, including rrr and Radhe Shyam, were rescheduled and pulled out of the festive event due to the influenza threat. Bangarraju, featuring Akkineni nagarjuna and his offspring naga chaitanya, is now the last larger picture remaining for the public to celebrate movies in cinemas for the holiday. For an exclusive discussion, nagarjuna discussed how Bangarraju came to be, its storyline, and whether or not there will be a third instalment.

The thespian starts by discussing how Bangarraju came to be "We intended to make this feature about five years earlier. However, owing to unforeseen events, we will be unable to attend. Then COVID entered the scene. The movie has been in screens for 5 months and finally got released on Sankranthi." After Manam, naga chaitanya spends time on screen with his dad in this movie.

When queried if Akhiil was ever a component of Bangarraju, naga chaitanya responded no, but expressed optimism that a third instalment would be feasible. "Maybe I don't know. We haven't explored it yet. We'll ponder about it when the moment arises, but it'll be great, and we'll be capable of accomplishing it, said the Manmadhudhu performer."
