Gorr the god Butcher, played by Christian Bale, makes a terrifying entrance in the new Thor: love & Thunder poster. In Marvel's 29th film, directed by Taika Waititi, chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the god of Thunder. Natalie Portman will reprise her role as Jane Foster, and Tessa Thompson will reprise her role as Valkyrie in the Phase 4 MCU film. Russell Crowe as Zeus and Christian Bale as Gorr are among the newcomers to the cast of love & Thunder.


While love & Thunder is a sequel to 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, it also takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which saw Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy leave Earth. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and his band of misfits are ready to join the titular hero on his search for inner peace in Thor: love & Thunder. Thor will have to suit up soon to prevent Gorr the god Butcher from annihilating all gods. Thor will need to recruit Valkyrie, Korg, and Jane Foster, who has subsequently become the Mighty Thor, during their quest. All indicators point to Gorr being the major antagonist in love & Thunder, including the film's most recent poster.

With an image of Bale's Gorr towering in the background, Marvel Studios has published a new poster for Thor: love & Thunder. Gorr looks down on Hemsworth and Portman's powerful personas with pointed teeth and blazing yellow eyes. Valkyrie is also seen riding Aragorn, her white Pegasus, while Korg stands tall behind the key protagonists on the poster.
