Suggestions were being received from various hospitals and district administrations to increase the rate of a kidney transplants. Now the orders to implement it have been issued by the department. Now the amount of kidney transplants has been increased from Rs 3,62,918 to Rs 6,13823 under chiranjeevi Yojana. Along with this, a new package has also been added for follow-up and convenience in the package related to kidney transplants.

With this addition, the number of packages in kidney transplants has increased from 5 to 6. With this increased rate and new package, hospitals will be able to treat patients better. Due to this patients will not face any problems in this expensive and difficult operation. So far, 58 patients have been successfully transplanted free of cost under chiranjeevi Yojana.


Under the scheme, now the package rate of surgery (including donor nephrectomy) under kidney transplant has been increased from 2,15,595 to 3,19,500. In the package made for Renal Transplant-Induction, a benefit of Rs. 1,47,323 will be available to the patient. For better care of the patient after the transplant, a provision of Rs. 1,40,000 has been made in three packages for medicines lasting one year. 

Apart from this, a new package of Renal Transplant-Intervention for acute rejection/post-transplant complications (BIOPSY PROVEN) amounting to Rs 1,47,000 has been created. With these new provisions, patients will be able to get more facilities for kidney transplants under the scheme. 


Under chiranjeevi Yojana, more than 18 lakh patients have been treated free of cost with an amount of Rs 2200 crore so far. cm Gehlot's focus is on health services. cm Gehlot had focused on health services in the budget speech. cm Gehlot says that taking care of the health of the people of the state is the priority of his government.
