Babil Khan: Babil does not like the word 'debut', and said - no one would have cared if irrfan khan had not had a son

Babil Khan, son of bollywood actors irrfan khan and Sutapa Sikdar, is all set to make his bollywood debut with his debut project 'Kaala'. While fans are waiting for Babil's debut, the actor doesn't quite like the word 'debut'. Along with this, he also said that if he was not the son of Star Kid or irrfan khan then no one would care about him.

When Babil was asked about the rejection of the word 'debut' during an interview, he objected to it. He said, 'If I was not Irrfan Khan's son, nobody would have bothered about my debut. I would be trying to get into films, giving auditions, and maybe getting a part. Getting recognition through your work is much more than just inheriting recognition. I feel the words 'debut' and 'launch', these things always make the person bigger than the story and the film.

Further, Babil Khan said, 'From the beginning, I wanted to respect my mother's upbringing. When I got the film, I was happy that I am playing a supporting character in a female lead film, it was very important for me. It doesn't seem easy to me at all and makes me very uncomfortable. Why would an artist want that? I don't know yet. That's not me. The word debut makes me a little sad.

Please tell that 'Qala' has been directed by Anvita Dutt. In this, tripti dimri and swastika mukherjee are going to be seen in the lead roles. The story of the film is based on the complicated relationship between a singer and her mother, set in kolkata in the 1940s. Babil appears as Tripti's rival in the film. It is produced by Karnesh Sharma's Clean Slate Films and will release on Netflix on december 1. It may be noted that irrfan khan passed away in april 2020 after a two-year-long battle with a neuroendocrine tumor.
