According to reports, Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 3, which was given the go-ahead following Wonder Woman 1984, is not progressing in its current form. Wonder Woman has been one of the most well-known Justice League characters since Gal Gadot first brought her to life in the DC Universe (formerly known as the DCEU) in 2016. The starlet went on to star in her own Wonder Woman films in 2017's Justice League after making her film debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Wonder Woman 3 has been in the works since 2020; Gadot will return as the title character, and Jenkins will direct the third instalment.

However, Wonder Woman 3 encountered a significant roadblock just one day after Gadot celebrated her casting anniversary. Jenkins' Wonder Woman 3 is presently thought to be dead and isn't moving ahead in its most recent incarnation, according to The hollywood Reporter. Their sources claim that Jenkins re-sent the studio her treatment, which she co-wrote with Geoff Johns. Jenkins was informed by the new executives at DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures that the sequel as it was currently written didn't fit with the DCU's new plans. Gadot published this one day prior to this:

This change occurs just one month after Walter Hamada's departure and a restructuring of Warner Bros.' DC branch led to james Gunn and Peter Safran being named the new heads of DC Studios. When they arrived, they started working on a 10-year strategy for the DC Universe that would change things up while still releasing a number of movies in 2023. The last time Wonder Woman appeared, a stunt actor portrayed her in the shadows in the Peacemaker season 1 finale.
