In the announcement video, Sunny Deol's voiceover states, "27 saal pehle ek fauji ne vada kiya tha ki vo vapas aayega. Ussi video ko poora karne, Hindustan ki mitti ko apna salaam kehne, aa raha hai (27 years ago, a soldier made a promise that he would return. To fulfill that promise, and to salute the soil of India, he returned.) 


The video concludes with the iconic track "Sandese Aate Hainby Roopkumar Rathod and Sonu Nigam from the original film. 


About Border 2

According to rumors, the story is set in the same setting at the Battle of Longewala and will start shooting sometime in october this year. 


'Border 2will be directed by anurag singh and produced by bhushan Kumar, krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and directed by Anurag Singh. The caption read, "Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2 🇮🇳. Sunny Deol had previously shared on 'The Ranveer Showthat 'Border 2was initially planned to start in 2015 but was shelved due to the box office failure of his then-recent release, which made producers hesitant. 


Sunny Deol was last seen in 'Gadar 2', directed by Anil Sharma. The film was a massive success, grossing over Rs 450 crore at the indian box office.
