Director Pa Ranjith had made his debut with the hit Attakathi, the coming of age love story, and had later scored a hit with Madras with Karthi, He got lucky later, as he made back to back movies with none other than Superstar Rajnikanth himself with Kabali and Kaala.
However despite such highs in his career, the director had been a part of a huge plagiarism act, as he had ripped off the story of a budding maker Gopi Nainar, and had made it as Madras, from Gopi's Karuppar Nagaram, and this remains a black mark in his career still.
Now, Ranjith has announced a movie on tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda in Hindi, bankrolled by Namah pictures, and this comes as a shocker, as already Gopi Nainaar had announced a movie on the same Birsa Munda after he wraps his movie with Jai and Aishwarya Rajesh, Let's see whose version of Birsa Munda appeals to masses.
