Superstar Rajnikanth was last seen in the action-packed sci-fi thriller 2.0, following which he is all geared up for his 165th movie Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj which is all set to release on Pongal 2019 as a treat for numerous diehard fans of the mass hero.
Following his Petta which is a multi starrer which also features a huge star cast including Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Bobby Simha, Mahendran, Guru Somasundaram and many others, and music by Anirudh, Superstar has okayed his next project as well.
Rajni's 166th movie will be directed by AR Murugadoss, and this ,movie is reportedly bankrolled by big banner Lyca productions, which had bankrolled 2.0 as well, and now it has been reported that the movie will have ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan who had last worked in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and worked with Superstar in Maniratnam directorial Thalapathy. This movie will have Kajal as the female lead. An official word is expected soon.
