Superstar Rajinikanth starrer, magnum opus maker Shankar combo's latest offering, the SciFi thriller 2.0, the sequel to the combo's 2010 blockbuster Endhiran is smashing box office records worldwide.
The movie which has collected almost 600 crores is not just a successful one for the superstar but also a great success for the movie's another hero Akshay Kumar who plays a key role in the screenplay as ornithologist Pakshi Rajan who becomes a villain.
The movie's Hindi dubbed version alone had crossed 150 crores collection making it Akshay Kumar's 10th 100 crore club movie and the highest grosser for Akshay. Also starring Amy Jackson, 2.0 is now the second highest Hindi dubbed grosser next to Baahubali 2.
