After the massive blockbuster Pongal release Viswasam, Thala Ajith is back to roar on screen with his next, the socially relevant flick Ner Konda Paarvai. Directed by H Vinoth, this time Thala Ajith has consciously moved away from his mass image to play a strong role in an important flick. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Ner Konda Paarvai review.

Meera Krishnan(Shraddha Srinath) attacks Aadhik(Arjun Chidambaram), and flees from the place, following which she gets harassed by Aadhik and his friends, besides also getting accused in a legal issue. Now enters advocate Bharath Subramanian (Ajith), who takes up this case after a break from his career. Was Bharath able to serve justice for  Meera, Fami and Andy from the powerful and arrogant Aadhik and the system is what Ner Konda Paarvai is all about.

Thala Ajith delivers sheer goosebumps moments for his fans, as he excels in both mass and class episodes. Be it the anger-filled moments as he explodes or be it the subtle act with the unique modulation in dialogue delivery, the man excels and has a stunning screen presence. Shraddha Srinath delivers an intense and emotional performance as her act conveys the anger and pain of Meera. Abhirami and Andrea are good and emote well, while the baddies Arjun Chidambaram, Aswin Rao and Sujith Shankar are aptly cast. The rest of the cast including Vidya Balan, Rangaraj pandey, Aadhik Ravichandran and Delhi Ganesh are adequate.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's background score is scintillating and of his songs, Vaanil Irul and Agalathey are hum worthy. Cinematography by Nirav Shah is impressive capturing the court episodes and the action blocks effectively. Editing by Gokul Chandran is taut and keeps the movie engaging.

Director H Vinoth for the first time has taken up a remake and has effectively handled the theme and adapted it perfectly catering to fans of Thala Ajith as well as the general audience. Ner Konda Paarvai is a faithful remake of Pink where Thala Ajith is extremely powerful with his screen presence and emulates Amitabh Bachchan in the original. As the man delivers strong points in court, on the rules for women safety and the way he delivers the message of the movie "No means no", Thala is sure to help the message reach a large section of audience especially when there are rising crimes against women in our country. Shraddha Srinath is very good with her emotional act as she conveys the feelings of the woman troubled by the wrong people in the society. Vinoth makes the necessary changes in the screenplay keeping the ultimate mass sequence for Ajith and has placed it well in the movie. With a superb screenplay by Vinoth, Thala Ajith and Shraddha Srinath's compelling performances and a rich technical team, Ner Konda Paarvai is a must-watch. Hats off to Thala Ajith and Boney Kapoor for coming with this socially relevant and most important movie. and Vinoth for delivering a perfect remake and in fact this has bettered the Original.
