Lady Superstar Nayanthara so far had three releases In 2019 - Viswasam, Airaa, and Mr. Local were to have her fourth release Kolaiyuthir Kaalam last week, but the release was postponed due to a legal issue. The movie finally got released and it sank without any trace.
Producer V Mathiyalagan who acquired release rights in his Etcetera entertainment has opened up on the reason behind the postponement. Kolaiyuthir Kaalam was a part of controversy due to Radharavi's speech and faced drawback due to Vignesh Shivn calling it an incomplete movie.
Now it's been postponed due to a case filed by a person Balaji Kumar alleging to have the rights to the novel Kolaiyuthir Kaalam by Sujatha, and using the title for the Nayanthara movie is copyright infringement. Mathiyalagan said a 10000 rupees case is stopping a 12 crores movie. The digital release of the movie is also now stopped. Director chakri Toleti accused the producer for not giving him a free hand.
