After two days of storming the well and raising slogans in Lok Sabha, the TDP MPs have become fully silent on Wednesday. This came as a big surprise to everyone. It is known that they were organizing protests in the house against denial of special category status for AP.
NDA government Venkaiah Naidu
In this regard, the senior ministers of NDA government Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitley have been speaking with PM Narendra Modi and also with Sujana Chowdhary to evolve compromise. Jaitley himself said he spoke to Chandrababu and requested co-operation.
Parliament and hence
This week, the most crucial tax reform in India’s history, GST has been tabled in Parliament and hence utmost co-operation is required. The bill has got a green signal from all sides. Hence, even though Jagan’s men are holding protests outside, by and large it has become calm.
According to inside reports, acting on Modi’s assurance that they will do something, things are calm. But it has to be seen whether this is only a temporary gamble or whether BJP leadership is serious about helping the state of Andhra Pradesh with a package atleast!
