Congress President Sonia Gandhi took a bold decision to divide Andhra Pradesh and form Telangana in order to retrieve the party position and make her son Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister of India.  However all her calculations turned wrong with TRS chief KCR refusing to merge his party with Congress. Now Congress is trying its best to atleast have an alliance with TRS but nothing is working out even with the best manipulators in talks with KCR.  Now Sonia Gandhi decided it is better she herself enters the scene and handle alliance talks with TRS chief KCR. This because leaders from both parties are indulding in bitter war of words. While TRS is keen on having major power in Telangana, Congress believes that without alliance with TRS, it will be difficult to make electoral gains.
