Karthi in the Aircel Maxis case, the delhi court considered the charge sheet and it Summons to rajya sabha MP and son of former Union minister P Chidambaram.

NEW DELHI: Former Union minister P chidambaram, a rajya sabha MP and former Union minister, on saturday filed a charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in the Aircel Maxis case issues Summons to his son karti chidambaram and others.

Ross Avenue court Special Judge MK Nagpal reserved his order on november 22.

Additional Solicitor General Sanjay Jain, appearing on behalf of the investigating agencies, told the court in the past that agencies in the UK and singapore have sent appeals (LR) seeking some information about the investigation and that there have been some developments in this regard.

The cbi also said it was working in a new way. When the court heard the report from the agencies, the charges cited in the indictment were "very serious in nature."

The case is spotlighted as it concerns irregularities in the endorsement of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board in the Aircel-Maxis deal, which is a big scam.

This was approved in 2006 when chidambaram was the Union Finance Minister. The cbi and the ED alleged that chidambaram had sanctioned the deal and bribed them for the purpose of facilitating some.
