A fire broke out in a commercial building near the Mundak metro station in west delhi, killing at least 27 persons. Harish Goyal and varun Goyal, both from the building's CCTV camera office, have been arrested in connection with the terrible occurrence. The building's owner, manish Lakra, is being sought by police since no fire prevention or security measures have been implemented. This horrible fire started around 4.40 p.m. yesterday. Around 24 fire vehicles battled and extinguished the blaze. So far, 27 dead have been found within the three-story commercial centre.

Around 60-70 people were rescued from the building with injuries, with around 40 of them critically injured. They've all been sent to the hospital for treatment. As a result, physicians are concerned that the death toll will continue to increase. It's possible that some people are still trapped inside the structure. According to preliminary fire department investigations, the fire started in the office of the CCTV camera and router maker on the first level of the building. A motivational speech programme was also taking place on the building's second story at the time of the catastrophe. At the scene, there were more casualties.

The occurrence has resulted in the region's worst catastrophe. prime minister Narendra Modi expressed his sympathies to the fire victims, saying, "I send my condolences to the families of the victims and would donate Rs 2 lakh apiece to the families of the victims." Condolences have been expressed by President Ramnath Govind, delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, congress MP rahul Gandhi, and others.
