It is more difficult to walk on another stretched rope. India's treatment of religious minorities has been condemned all over the world, but due to the skill of our diplomats, there has been no official protest from the Muslim world. There is also a solid diplomatic reason for this.

For the sake of argument, suppose saudi arabia or iran or qatar gets angry because of indirect attacks on indian Muslims. But they cannot make any objection or comment because this is an internal matter of india, it is included in those matters on which no other country has the right to object.

That's why prime minister Modi can claim that the congress is upset because his government's relations with the Islamic world are very good. It also means that if we were anti-Muslim, would Muslim countries be our friends?

Unfortunately, when you move from attacking Aurangzeb, 'lynching' poor beef-eating Muslims to attacking the Prophet himself, it is no longer an internal matter of India. Therefore, due to the open display of hatred by its spokespersons, the government has also fallen by the other stretched rope.

So now there is all this confusion, strict action is taken against the spokespersons and by issuing silly statements on behalf of the embassies, the official spokespersons of the ruling party are called 'fringe elements'.

Can bjp change its 'colour'?

Islamic countries have been giving indications so far that they will wait for this storm to pass. But there is no doubt that he will keep a close watch on the situation. India's stand towards islam and Muslims can no longer be treated as an internal matter. This is a matter of concern for india because a large number of indians are working and living in Middle-East countries. Our trade relations with that region are vital to our economy.

So, what will happen now? Will the bjp stand on taut ropes again? Or will she fundamentally rethink her stance towards tv news channels, which she treats with frivolous social media? Will she refrain from calling on 'trolls' like noisy, brazen, politically unimportant spokespersons to present her point of view?

It is not clear yet, but it is likely that whatever change will happen, it will not be a fundamental but only a strategic change. The bjp has gone so far that it cannot change its core message now.
