Agnipath Protest - Mobs burn trains???


There are fierce demonstrations across the country against the Agnipath scheme of the central government for recruitment in the army. Heavy damage is being done to government property by the protesters. In this, the maximum loss is being caused to indian Railways. Many trains were set on fire in bihar and UP. Whenever there is a big demonstration in the country, the railways are the first to be targeted. Actually, by targeting the railways, the protesters want to attract the attention of the government. Railways have to spend around Rs 2 crore to make an AC coach. 1.25 crore for sleeper coach and Rs 1 crore for general coach.

500 crore loss of railways so far

According to railway sources, so far the railways have lost property worth more than Rs 500 crore in the protests against the Agnipath scheme. So far, around 100 coaches have been gutted in the fires set in 7 trains across the country. That is, about 200 crores of coaches have been burnt. Apart from this, 7 locomotives of the train were set on fire by the protesters. In which the cost of one engine is 20 crores. About 140 crore engines have been burnt.
