Durga Puja controversy begins with Gandhiji!!

While celebrating the birth anniversary of mahatma gandhi on Sunday, the Hindu Mahasabha created a new controversy by celebrating durga puja in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal.

Mahishasura statue erected by Hindu Mahasabha with likenesses of mahatma gandhi was seen at Ruby Crossing in Kolkata's Kasba area. As the controversy escalated and the police also intervened, the organizers changed the shape of the statue overnight.

"We didn't do it on purpose. That's what it looked like," said Hindu Mahasabha Working President Chandrachud Goswami.

"However, gandhi did not work at such a respectable level. But, we don't want to hurt anyone's sentiments. If he looks shaved and wears a hat, how does he look like Gandhi? The asura had a spear in his hand. "Gandhi never caught them," he commented.

The pictures of this idol erected by the Hindu Mahasabha have gone viral online. Here the Mahishasura idol seen at the feet of Goddess Durga clearly looks like Gandhi's idol.

West bengal congress leader Kaustubh Bagchi has registered a case at the Titagarh police station over the controversy. After that, the police registered a sumoto case in the Kasba police station as well.

As the controversy escalated, changes were made to the statue of Mahishasur at night. Removed the glasses. New mustache and hair.

Political controversy

A political uproar broke out over this statue. Trinamool congress General Secretary Kunal Ghosh said. This is the true form of BJP. Gandhi is the father of our nation. His doctrines are respected by the whole world. If such a person is insulted like this, no one will stand still," he commented.

On the other hand, state congress unit president Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary also condemned the incident. He demanded that treason cases should be filed against the puja organizers. On the other hand, some bjp leaders also condemned the incident.
