Chief minister of karnataka opens 108 Namma Clinics...

In Bengaluru, the karnataka government on tuesday opened 108 "Namma Clinics." In the city's Mahalakshmipura layout, cm Basavaraj Bommai opened a clinic, describing it as a ground-breaking milestone for the urban health sector.

In his conversation with the media, Basavaraj Bommai stated: "Namma Clinic is a ground-breaking development. The notion of consulting doctors, which was formerly prevalent, has largely disappeared, leaving the poor without access to primary healthcare and forced to seek care at bigger hospitals. As a result, the government has taken the initiative to include private clinics in its purview."

The clinics are intended to deliver universal and comprehensive basic healthcare in metropolitan areas, according to health minister K Sudhakar's statement on Monday. Patients who need extensive care will be referred to secondary and tertiary centres, which also offer referral services. According to him, this will not only lower the cost of care but also decentralise healthcare delivery.

Each clinic would have one doctor, one nurse, one lab technician, and one employee, according to the government. All-inclusive packages would include services for prenatal, postnatal, adolescent, family planning, fertility, communicable disease management, general and minor injuries, preventative care for NCDs, oral, eye, and ENT care, mental health, geriatric, and laboratory services. According to the karnataka health minister, 243 of the 438 Namma clinics would be in the BBMP and the remaining 195 will be in the districts.
