The environment has become quite endangered and Indian railways is doing its best to protect it. Nowadays there are plastic bottle crushers at railway stations, but few people use them. In india the consciousness towards the environment is quite poor. So in order to motivate people railways has decided to add money to your mobile wallet if you use plastic bottle crushers. This is keeping in mind PM modi’s initiative of disposing single use plastic so that it can be recycled again. Mr. modi is sso serious about the use of single use plastic that even in his independence day speech he urged people to replace plastic water bottles with better alternatives on a priority basis.
From October 2, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, there will be no single use plastic used in the Indian railway premises. The chairman of Railway board V K Yadav has said that the railway will install 400 bottle crushers at stations. Any passenger who wants to use them will have to key in their phone number into the machine and the phone will be recharged.
Right now 160 bottle crushing machines are installed in 128 stations. He also said that the railway staff has been instructed to collect all the plastic bottle at railway station and send them
for recycling.
