Tension is still prevailing in the capital Villages as farmers refused to give up their ongoing agitation demanding that the andhra pradesh government drop the move to shift the state capital from Amaravati. On the other side, the local police have taken into custody four farmers who have resorted to attacking some media personnel in Uddandarayunipalem two days ago.
Gogulamoodi Surender, prathipati Srinivasa Rao, prathipati Satish, and alla Siva Babu are those arrested from their residences in the early hours of today. Even the family members were not informed where they are going to be lodged. Meanwhile, the government has formed the High-Power Committee to study the report of the GN Rao Committee and the report of Boston Consulting Group which will arrive on january 3rd.
Nine Ministers and senior bureaucrats will be part of this committee. It is interesting to note that Four Ministers from krishna and guntur districts were given a place in the committee. These two districts are most impacted by the Government's decision to change the capital from Amaravati.
