bjp seems to be playing a double game in the amaravati issue. While leaders like kanna lakshminarayana and sujana Chowdary are opposing the capital Shift, gvl narasimha rao and Kishan reddy stated that the central government has no role in deciding the capital. Now, even Kanna lakshmi Narayana changed his stance now.
kanna lakshminarayana had said that though the state government has the right to take a decision on the capital location, he insisted on the government holding talks with the stakeholders. “The capital issue is purely the state government issue. The central government can only advise the State if asked,” the bjp chief said.
He said that amaravati was decided as the capital after every party accepted the proposal and wondered what was the reason for this government to change the capital. It looks like when the party national leaders leave the decision to the State government, Kanna is left with no choice but to fall in line. This will mean that the farmers can give up hopes about the central government interfering. They are left with the only option of Courts coming to their rescue.
