Former mp and chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao's Daughter, kavitha is almost finalized for Nizamabad's local body MLC. She has filed her nomination today. kavitha surprisingly lost the recent General elections to a bjp Candidate and has been politically inactive since then.
There were rumors that she will be nominated to rajya sabha but kcr did not do that. For the first time, she was being brought into the State politics via Council. There are rumors that kcr will retire from State politics very soon and will start concentrating on National Politics. He is keen on giving the government mantle to his son, KTR. kavitha may be taken into the cabinet once ktr becomes the Chief Minister.
On the other side, the Opposition parties have come up with strong criticism on this nomination saying that the dynast party can not survive without power. They condemn taking kavitha into the cabinet who was rejected by the people. The bypoll from nizamabad local Authorities'constituency was necessitated due to the disqualification of trs MLC R Bhoopathi Reddi last year after he joined the Congress. The last date for filing nominations in the bypoll is march 19 (Thursday) and the poll would be held on april 7.
