Last month, Universal hero kamal hassan had opened doors of his Eldam’s Road office to be used as an isolation ward to treat the patients infected with Coronavirus. Now, Superstar rajinikanth also wrote to the tamil Nadu chief minister to use his raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai’s Kodambakkam area.
This is not the first time rajinikanth had shown his generosity. He earlier gave the wedding hall to shelter hundreds of homeless people for more than 20 days during the 2015 chennai floods. However, the tamil Nadu government is not keen on taking both their offers since they are into politics and accepting their offers will only mean giving them political mileage.
tamil Nadu is currently ranked second in highest number of coronavirus cases in the country only after Maharashtra. According to the stats available with the Ministry of health and Family Welfares, tamil Nadu has 863 cases. A majority of these cases are of the attendees of the Nizamuddin Markaz and their close contacts. The State government says there are no traces of the Community Spreading in the state until now which should come as a relief.
