According to the medical bulletin released last night, Telangana's overall caseload was nine short of the 2,000 mark with 1,991 cases. 71 new cases are registered which include four foreign evacuees and 12 migrants. Four districts in telangana reported new COVID-19 cases after a gap of weeks, thereby losing green zone status. The other day, the state also registered its youngest casualty.

A seven-day-old in fact has become the state's youngest victim. The baby died three days after developing symptoms. The baby girl was born at the state-run Niloufer Hospital but was brought back from Quthbullapur after she was unwell. Her mother was tested negative before the delivery, and none of the family members had any symptoms. The doctors believe that the baby may have contracted the virus from someone in the hospital.

The officials have declared the area of the baby's residence as a containment zone. They are tracking all the contacts of the baby while in the hospital to ascertain the source of infection. The cases in telangana are on a rise ever since the Lockdown is relaxed. Meanwhile, the state government is contemplating more relaxations.
