The nagarjuna Sagar assembly by-election campaign in nalgonda district was in full swing. The campaign went on till the last minute as the bypoll became ambitious for all parties. All the state leaders stayed in Sagar. However, just hours before the polls, Sagar's sensational election came to light.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender reddy alleged that congress candidate Janardhan reddy did not want to contest in the nagarjuna Sagar constituency by-election and that his superiors were forcibly kept in the ring. Speaking to media in Nallagonda, Gutta made these remarks on Jana Reddy. He said that they were not happy that telangana had been achieved and were just anxious that power was gone. He said congress leaders were looking to garner votes in the name of castes. Gutta criticized it as evidence of the deterioration of congress leaders.

Sagar said that the people were wise and that Jana had no chance of becoming the cm in Telangana. He alleged that the congress so called leaders never fought for telangana and opposed the merger of the Varanta kcr party.
Gutta Sukhenda said that Nomula Narsimhaiya developed Kotladi Sagar in the assembly janareddy is accused of having a headache with his two sons and his name is being tarnished. Eddewa said that Rewant reddy had joined the congress after defeating the tdp, bringing along the Bhajan batch and doing drama in Sagar. Rewanth reddy said that the people of Sagar should not believe the loud words and it is not right to criticize him as the Chairman of the Legislative Council. Gutta Sukhender reddy suggested that the people of nagarjuna Sagar constituency should support the kcr leadership.
