People of haryana are having problems regarding the shortage of ambulance vehicles. people are complaining that ambulances are charging heavily by taking the covid advantage. By this people are facing many troubles. So the police department came forward and took the appreciable decision.

They started the service of proving transportation by the name 'service 440 sport utility vehicle' (SUVs) with free of cost. director general of police (DGP) Manoj Yadava said that each police district will get 20 toyota Innova SUVs.“These vehicles are being provided free of cost after complaints of either shortage or overcharging by private ambulance service providers,” he said. He said that 70 SUVs will reach the district on thursday and  224 SUVs will reach by Sunday.

DGP Manoj Yadava also said that the SUVs are completely for the service of covid patients. people can dial 108 or the police controller room of their respective district for the service. To ensure safety, drivers of the vehicle will wear mask, gloves and PPE kits while on duty

Also, the haryana government directed Regional transport authorities to impose a minimum fine of 50,000 or cancellation of certificate if private ambulance drivers charge heavily.

DGP also informed that advanced life supporter (ALS) can't charge more than 15 RS per km and basic life support ( BLS) can't charge more than 7 rs/ km. If people find private ambulance drivers are charging more than can complain to the police department. people can use the SUVs service for travelling from home to hospital and hospital to home with completely free of cost.
