The Chinese President Xi jinping made progress that raised eyebrows across the world. The President's visit came as a piece of surprise news, as no other Chinese President has visited tibet in 3 decades. He also visited Nyingchi in Arunachal Pradesh lying close to it. This was President's first visit to tibet after taking over in 2013.

Recently china is noted by overpowering local culture by encouraging education in the Chinese language. china is slowly taking the power of Buddhist monasteries. Chinese leaders annually visit Tibet. But recently, no leader has visited tibet, Xi is possibly the first top leader in modern years to visit Tibet’s frontier town. He visited earlier in 2011 when he was a vice president. The last president to formally visit tibet was Jiang Zemin in 1990.
