Just when the cases started to decline in tamil Nadu, all of a sudden, 200+ fresh COVID cases have increased and chennai ranks top once again with more fresh COVID cases. This has created a huge panic in tamil Nadu and once again several restrictions and lockdown measures are expected to be imposed in the state.


Right now, tamil Nadu is in third place with more number of fresh cases getting reported every day. As the new tally of 1964 fresh cases has been reported, this has caused more panic among the residents of chennai city, in particular. 1917 people got recovered on a single day, but for the first time in several weeks, the number of recoveries has got reduced to the number of fresh cases. 


This has completely shell-shocked and there are even talks going on that it might be the beginning of the third wave as warned by several scientists. Apart from chennai, coimbatore also witnessed a sharp rise with 229 fresh cases on a single day and yet again a strict lockdown is expected in these two cities. There has been a complete checkup regarding the new cases and health Minister Ma. Subramanian requested people not to panic regarding the increase in cases.
