The lawyers for trs working president KT Rama Rao presented video recordings of tpcc president revanth Reddy's news conference on august 27 to the City Civil Courts, where the minister has filed a defamation suit against the MP. revanth was heard saying in the video that Rama Rao had just returned from goa and was in an "anxious state." He further claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing the tollywood narcotics case, has sent notifications to some of Rama Rao's close friends.

“Without providing any proof or evidence, he (Revanth) has attempted to imply that ktr is a regular user of illegal substances. He has definitely claimed that the minister visited goa lately and is now attempting to link his visit to drug use,” according to the petition.

According to the petition, a person's right to reputation is a basic right. “Irreparable loss and harm would be caused to ktr if such disparaging remarks are allowed to stay on news platforms,” Rama Rao's lawyers claimed.

“I am ready for any test & would fly to AIIMS delhi if rahul gandhi is willing to join,” Rama Rao tweeted after revanth challenged him to a drug test. It's beneath my dignity to do so with Cherlapally detainees. Will you apologise and stop posting if I take the exam and get a clean chit? Are you ready for a #Note4Vote [sic] lie detector test?”
