According to the report, the authorities have identified gold deposits at ten places in the state. Almost all of them are located in Anantapur, Rayalaseema. They found gold deposits in Ramagiri, the center of the region, and seized them. Excavations there have been halted since 2001 when they ran out. Now there are two other such deposits nearby, officials said.


At present, there are two gold deposits in Roddam zone, Bhoksam Palli and six in kadiri zone. However, a total of 97.4 sq. Km. Officials embedded in the report that there were deposits in the range. Officials said the deposits could be found as deep as 50 meters in these areas. That means they said they could find 4 grams of gold if they dug themselves. They estimate that there will be a total of 16 tonnes of gold deposits in all areas, including 10 tonnes in Jauk, four tonnes in Ramagiri and two tonnes in Bhoksam Palli.


Officials suggested that the deposits could be extracted through underground excavations in the area. They said mining here would be cheaper depending on current gold market prices. Base metal, copper, gold, manganese, diamonds and iron ore were also found in nine other places in the state, officials said. They submitted the respective reports to the Center. Permits will also be issued in the respective areas for exploration for other minerals. The Center has decided to issue a license for the excavation of these mineral deposits. Each company is licensed up to 1000 hectares. Mining leases are given where full deposits are found. For this the authorities will conduct this auction.
