The andhra pradesh high court has dealt the jagan government yet another setback. The judge sided that there were regulatory irregularities in the recruitment of women police officers throughout the state. It made an error in establishing appointments with the police force through other ways, which is critical for maintaining peace and order. The court, which is prepared to make interim measures in the dispute impacting the lives of roughly 15,000 employees, has given the government notice to submit a counterclaim in accordance with procedure.

With the goal of reducing crime against women, the jagan government has implemented a new system known as "Women Protection Secretaries." The Revenue Department has appointed around 15,000 women as women care secretaries at the village as well as ward levels across the state. Visakhapatnam resident Areti umamaheswara rao has filed a suit in the high court claiming that the GO is disputed. On Tuesday, key arguments were made.

The petitioner's lawyer, Balaji, argued that the employment of women constables in village as well as ward secretariats as women constables in the police department was unconstitutional and that using Revenue secretaries for police responsibilities was inappropriate. The petitioner's claims were accepted by the high court, which issued notifications to the Chief Secretary, DGP, home Secretary, police Recruitment Board, as well as Chairman of the APPSC to submit a counter-filing on the matter of women police recruitment. The respondents should file counterclaims as soon as possible, according to the high court bench, and issue interim orders once they have been examined.
