The privatization of the Veda nilayam is not valid...

The high court has ordered to hand over to the heirs within 3 weeks.

The chennai high court has ruled that the law passed by the late chief minister Jayalalithaa's Veda Nilayam is not valid. The previous AIADMK government had announced that the Veda Nilayam, the Boise estate house where the late chief minister jayalalithaa relished, would be converted into a memorial house. The Legislation was enacted to implement it and the Vedha house is a movable property were nationalized. Late CM. Jayalalithaa's heirs deepa and deepak had filed a case in the chennai high court against the ruling. Furthermore, a lawsuit was indexed against the order setting 67 crores 90 lakh rupees as compensation for the Vedha house. In it, it was stated that the state did not have the power to legislate regarding the acquisition of personal property and that the law enacted by the state to nationalize the Vedha house should be declared invalid.

All these cases were heard by Judge Seshasai. Jayalalithaa's heirs have argued that the land was acquired without consulting them, as they had planned to maintain the place where jayalalithaa lived as sacred.

Further, the chennai high court has ordered that the Vedha house to be handed over to the heirs within 3 weeks.
