In the next 24 hours, heavy to severe rains are expected in Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Ramanatapuram, Thiruvanamalai, Chengalpatu, Vizhupuram, Cuddalore, and Kalakurichi. Rainfall was heavy in some areas and moderate in others. In a few spots, heavy to moderate rains will fall in Chennai, Tiruvazhur, Kaanchipuram, Chengalpatu, Nellai, Tuticorin, and tenkasi districts. On the 29th and 30th, fishermen are advised not to travel to Kumari, the south-western Bay of Bengal, or southern tamil Nadu (i.e. today and tomorrow).
