The question paper of the Uttar Pradesh teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET), one of the major exams in UP, has been leaked.
The police concluded that the leak was through a whatsapp group. UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has said that stern action will be taken. The cm also assured that the examination would be held again.
According to reports, the Uttar Pradesh Board of Basic education (UPBEB) will conduct the UPTET exam again in a month.
Candidates do not have to pay any fee again. An investigation has been launched into the incident and around 23 people involved in the case have been arrested.
A few photocopies of the question paper were recovered from the detainees. The exam will be held again in a month. The STF will investigate the case and take action against those found guilty.
The UPTET 2021 exam has two papers. Paper 1, 1 to 5 was to be held from 10 to 12:30 for primary school teachers.
UPTET 2021 Paper 2, 6 is scheduled for Higher Primary school teachers from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
As many as 21.5 lakh candidates were appearing for the exams at various examination centers in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is a highly competitive examination and successful candidates are usually recruited as Primary and junior level government teachers in State government Schools.
The Admit Card for UPTET Exam 2021 has already been issued by the authorities on the official website updeled.gov.in.
