Urging the public while interacting with media persons, he said, "We have flagged off 150 electric buses today. Next month another 150 buses will join this fleet. These are your buses. Please take care of them, don't make them dirty." "



The delhi government has allocated Rs 1,862 crore for getting electric buses in the next 10 years, while the Center has given Rs 150 crore for it. kejriwal said the target is to get 2,000 electric buses in a year. When asked about the amount received from the Centre, he said, "We are thankful to the Centre. We give credit to them. Work should be done in Delhi."




The chief minister claimed that at this time in the history of delhi, 7,200 buses will ply on the roads of the national capital. He told that the government is also planning to procure 600-700 cng buses as manufacturing of electric buses takes time. The chief minister flagged off the buses from Indraprastha depot and boarded one of them and reached Rajghat bus Depot. He was accompanied by Delhi's Transport minister Kailash Gehlot and Chief Secretary naresh Kumar.




During this, the chief minister also remembered the days when he used to travel in buses during the anti-corruption movement in India. He said, "During the days of the movement, I used to travel in buses. But the AC (air condition) in them did not work well. Today I traveled in electric bus. It was a very good job even though it was full of people. "




He also said that from tuesday to May 26, passengers can avail free travel in these buses. In a tweet in Hindi, kejriwal said, "Delhi has written a new chapter in the war against pollution. From today, 150 electric AC buses have started plying on the roads of delhi simultaneously. I also traveled in a bus, in this All modern facilities are there.
