K chandrasekhar Rao, the president of the telangana rashtra samithi and the state's chief minister, is known for doing yagnams and elaborate pujas in various temples whenever there is a special occasion. The telangana chief minister has done numerous yagams, ranging from Ganapathi Homam to Sudershana Homam to Ayutha Chandi Yagam. Even prime minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath are unlikely to have done as many yagams as KCR.

The fact that kcr invites prominent priests and Vedic scholars from all across the country, including Sringeri, to do the yagams or pujas is even more significant. And everything is done in accordance with South indian customs. However, for the past several days, a video clip of priests performing some strange puja at a temple in Guwahati, Assam's capital, with KCR's photo in the midst, has been circulating on social media.

According to inquiries, the puja is known as "Bhagalamukhi" and is performed in Guwahati's famous Kamakhya temple. This appears to have been done in the "Vamachara" style, which differs from traditional South indian ways. While KCR's normal yagams and pujas in telangana are completely devout rites involving ghee and milk, the Bhagalamukhi Puja is said to have involved booze and sacrificed meat, among other things. According to reports, the entire puja was performed in secrecy.

It's unclear whether the secret Bhagalamukhi puja was performed at KCR's request or if it was performed for him by someone else, wishing him success in his national political agenda or a return to power in telangana for a third consecutive term.
