Italy set to get its First Female PM!!!

The emphasis on the growing right-wing around the world has also been seen in Italy. The right-wing coalition claimed victory in both houses during the election, paving the way for the formation of a right-wing government in the country for the first time since World war II. Along with this, Giorgia Meloni, the leader of the main right-wing party Brothers of italy party, has also been confirmed to become the first female prime minister of Italy. However, according to the election results projections in front, Meloni alone is not getting a majority. For this, she will have to take the support of his ally Matteo Salvini's far-right League party and former PM Silvio Berlusconi's centre-right party Forza Italia.

Meloni's Brothers of italy received 26% of the vote, while the entire right-wing coalition received 43.8% of the total. The opposition Left faction got 26.1% of the vote, with the largest party being the DP with 19% of the vote.

The european union is eyeing the result

According to Reuters, the european union (EU) was also eyeing the election because of Italy's eurozone's third-largest economy. The victory of the right-wing faction is being considered to create a difficult situation for Europe. However, according to Matteo Salvini, a senior member of the right-wing faction, it could be the beginning of Italy's rare era of political stability, which could be the end of many of its problems.

The european Commission has also expressed hope of working closely with Meloni's new government. There is also a warning that if italy turns away from democratic principles, it will have to face the consequences. At the same time, Giorgia Meloni also said that her Brothers of italy party will work for everyone and will not betray anyone. Talking to the media in Rome, she said that italy has given a clear message in favour of the right-wing government.
