Tamil Nadu Law minister Raghupathi has said that there is no use in talking to karnataka on the Cauvery issue, so they are urging the Union government. Law minister S. Raghupathi met the media at Anna University, Chennai. Speaking at that time, he said, "It is our duty to respond to the opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami's various views and accusations in the assembly today. Even though the AIADMK has come out of the bjp alliance, the work to protect the bjp is going on. What Edappadi Palaniswami said was ridiculous. We went to the supreme court because we could not come to an end after talking to Karnataka. Edappadi Palaniswami has said that the DMK government has no courage.

He looks at the chief minister and speaks like this. Edappadi Palaniswami has agreed that the Union bjp has full responsibility on the Cauvery issue. He did not speak a single word condemning the Union government, it was at the insistence of the Union government that we came up with a resolution that after 2018, the Cauvery Management Authority has the right to get the water.

We need to put pressure on the Union government on the Cauvery issue, there is no use in talking to karnataka, that is why we are pressuring the Union government,” he explained on the Cauvery issue. Speaking further, he said, we have no difference regarding Islamic jail inmates, we have kept 28 people in the list and sent it to the governor. He said that we hope that the governor will give a good decision.
