On the instructions of bilaspur SP Santosh Singh, a large number of policemen, including officers of central

security forces along with the district police force, conducted a flag march in the entire city for the second phase of

voting in the 2023 assembly elections to be held in Chhattisgarh. The objective of the flag march is to maintain

peace in the city in view of the upcoming assembly elections, to give a strong message to anti-social elements, to

prevent any untoward incident before it happens and to ensure adherence to the model code of conduct. The flag

march started in 2 parts from the police Ground and ended back at the police Ground.

The first team covered police Ground-Idgah Chowk-Devkinandan Chowk-Mahamaya Chowk-Lodhipara-Ashok

Nagar Chowk-Vasant Vihar-Mopka Chowk-Chhatghat-Gurunanak Chowk-Girja Chowk-Tarbahar Chowk-Gandhi

Chowk-Kotwali Chowk-Telipara Road-Old bus Stand. -Flag marched on police ground route. Whereas the other

team covered police Ground-Satyam Chowk-Shrikant Verma Marg-Vyapar vihar Road-Sirgitti Basti-Bannak

Chowk-High court Road-Chakarbhatha Bazaar-Tifra Bazaar-Maharana Pratap Chowk-Gaurav Path-Usalapur-

Sakri-Mangla Chowk-Nehru Chowk- Flag march was conducted on Ambedkar Chowk-Police Ground route.

Voting is to be held on 70 seats in the second phase.

Assembly elections 2023 are being held in two phases in Chhattisgarh. In the first phase, voting has taken place in

20 assembly constituencies on 7 November. Now in the second phase, voting is to be held in 70 assembly

constituencies on november 17. Before this, chhattisgarh police and central security forces are on full alert. The

aim is to maintain peace in the city at the time of voting, give a strong message to anti-social elements, prevent any

untoward incident before it happens and ensure adherence to the model code of conduct.
