Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday appointed his uncle and senior YSRCP leader YV Subba Reddy as the new chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust board. YV Subba Reddy took oath today and assumed the office. There are allegations from some sections that YV is a converted Christian. However, here is the clarification:
Subba Reddy is married to Swarna, who is jagan’s mother Vijayamma’s sister. Both Swarna and Subba Reddy are devout Hindus. Since Vijayamma is a Christian, Swarna and YV Subba Reddy are also assumed to be Christian but the fact is that Among her side of the family, only Vijayamma practices christianity, which she started after her marriage to YSR.
Even Vijayamma and Swarna’s two brothers are also known to be devout Hindus. One of them is ravindranath Reddy, the MLA from Kamalapuram. Buzz is that YV Subba Reddy's family was so orthodox and religious that they had a priest came to conduct pujas in the temple they had inside their home, every day.
